Help reconstruct Mexico villages
Donation protected
On the 7th and 19th of September, two earthquakes of magnitude 8.2 and 7.1 struck numerous communities in the state of Oaxaca with devastating effects.
These earthquakes destroyed hundreds of houses, public schools and churches, leaving them in rubble.
We recover materials from houses and buildings that collapsed during the earthquake and re-use them for rebuilding: partitions, adobe, blacksmithing, doors, windows, wooden beams, etc.
"Reconstrucción por Mexico" seeks to raise funds for the adequate recovery and rehabilitation of homes affected in whole or in part in Oaxaca after the recent earthquakes.
We will work with the active participation of the affected community, recovering and recycling natural and local materials.
We will carry out diagnostics of each building and advocate for the affected families, showing respect to both the process and the outcome, as well as the social, cultural, natural, environmental and geological identity of the place, ensuring an integral shelter for the affected people.
