A Home for Rwandan Orphan Family
My friend Dalia is the eldest of her brother and sisters. This family of orphans from the Genocide lost the small house in which they live during a strong storm. They were welcomed in by various neighbors, but are not living together. The lack of resources prevents them from rebuilding or buying a new house. The situation is very difficult and stressful for them. Dalia is currently being sponsored here in the states to receive a college education so that she can go back and get a good job to support her brothers and sisters. She is a very giving person and I am proud to call her friend.
A million people were killed in the Rwandan Genocide of 1994. Rwanda is a small country, about the size of Maryland, but with a much larger population. The people are very poor and are still feeling the effects of the Genocide as they continue to try to rebuild their lives.
Please donate anything you can, small or large, to reunite this family and help them rebuild their home. Murakoze cyane (thank you very much)!
