June 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the iconic movie ROSEMARY'S BABY and yet, the conversation around women's reproductive health remains a controversial one. Misinformation is rampant, manipulation is frequent and ownership of women's bodies is up for debate, often times leaving those who actually possess the reproductive organs in question OUT of the discussion.
As much as it pains us to say it, the (metaphorical) story of Rosemary and her baby is more relevant -- and horrific -- than ever.
So, we decided to organize a fundraiser to support women's reproductive health in the best way that we know how: by scaring the crap out of you!
Please join us for a staged reading of the ROSEMARY'S BABY screenplay featuring an all-star cast on the evening of Saturday, June 23 @ 7:30PM at Blast From The Past in Burbank, California. We are requesting a suggested donation of $10 per person who attends the reading but you are welcome to contribute more!
If you plan to attend and can contribute, please leave the name(s) of those who will be attending in a comment with your donation.
All proceeds of this staged reading will be split equally between two organizations: Planned Parenthood and Los Angeles' Downtown Women's Center.
