As we all knowMaria has devastated the entire island of Puerto Rico. While I know how tough (and stubborn lol) Puerto Ricans are, and I have no doubt that they will fight to overcome this disaster, they still need all the HELP they can get...now more than ever.
This morning I kept searching posts online in hopes to find any updates on the different parts of the island where friends/family are located. The more I saw, the more it broke me. I couldn't imaging enduring this type of disaster and I hate to see such a beautiful island in shambles. Seeing all this just motivated me to take some type of action. I have no idea how much of an impact can be made, but I figured its worth a shot.
With that being said, I am arranging collections around Concord, NC and Thomasville, NC over the next week. All supplies collected/purchased will be taken to the Puerto Rican Cultral Society of Charlotte where they will serve as the pipeline for getting the supplies delivered to San Juan.
I created this account to try to make contribuing a little more convient. I understand that people don't always have time to gather supplies or make it to a drop off. I also know many of our friends are scattered across the country but still may want to help out. This is just simply another option to help make that an option. 100% of the funds donated will go to the PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES.
