We're doing it again! With a humanitarian mission to end violence and build communities one neighborhood at a time, Chicago's non-profit Project H.O.O.D. Helping Others Obtain Destiny, has been on the front line saving lives in the Woodlawn/Englewood communities, both being underserved, low-income neighborhoods that are known for having the highest murder rates in the country!

We need your help to continue our efforts by offering children living in these communities a fun safe haven through our annual "Real Heroes Summer Camp." Often times, while simply playing outside, these children are victimized by urban terrorism that usually results in senseless violence, gun shootings and too many untimely deaths. But, there is hope...

History has proven, when children have experience social interaction through quality summer camps it...

*Builds their Self-Confidence
*Encourages them to Never Give Up
*Teaches them how to Rebound from Defeat
*Teaches them how to Work Together
*Exposes them to Loving People who Genuinely Care

*Reduces Violent Behavior through Sportsmanship

At no cost to their families, our goal is to enable 200 inner-city children to attend our Summer Camp Mon through Fri, from June 26 - August 18, 2017. Please note, this is not a Hand Out, but a Hand Up! People offering help and hope to other people...

Your partnershp is vital! The average cost per child will be approximately $500. We desperately need your help today. By making a significant donation or a consistent monthly donation, you can help us raise and meet half of our Summer Camp budget of $50K.

The success of this summer camp will greatly depend upon the generous financial support of not just one or two people, but multiple sponsors from the  private, public and faith-based community sectors and Hopefully this is you...

We are located on Chicago's south side in the Woodlawn community, at 6620 S King Dr. Chicago, IL. 60637. Adjacent from this location is the future site of a $20M state of the art community and economic development center. Although we are excited about the new community center, we can't wait until the building is built in order to build lives!

Please donate to the future of a child and share our story with your circle of influence. If need be, feel free to stop by our main office anytime for a tour. You can go to ProjectHood.org  to see more about our efforts.

Thank You for helping us save and change lives!

Sincerely,
