Project Christmas Feed 2013

Project Christmas Feed is a non-profit project that I put together to feed the homeless on Christmas morning, here's my story on how it all got started!

As many of you spend your holiday season with friends and family there are a lot less fortunate people out there spending Christmas alone, in the cold and rain on the streets. In 2008 the same thing hit me, as I drove home from work on Christmas Eve realizing I really was going to be alone on Christmas morning I came up with this crazy idea. I went to Costco and bought meals for 100 homeless people. Buying Hams, rolls, makings for mashed potatoes, green been casserole and salads. I prepared all 100 meals in my own kitchen with my own money and headed out to San Francisco to hand them out at 8AM Christmas morning. Thinking this task would take a couple hours, I was in and out of San Francisco within a half hour and felt great but also felt I didn't do enough leaving people at the back of my car unfed. I realize I cant feed everyone but I said to myself , next year i will do twice as much!!

In 2009 I accomplish my mission of feeding 200 homeless that Christmas Morning with a Breakfast feed! This year I want to do it all again.... making and feeding 200+ less fortunate people in SF Christmas Morning!

In 2010 Project Christmas Feed had huge support not only funding wise but we had over a dozen volunteers helping with the prep work. Christmas Morning we feed 450 homeless on the streets of San Francisco. and now its time to do it all again!
