Building classrooms in memory of Presy Guevara

Backstory:

In memory of my father, Presy Guevara, who passed away in January 2019, our family is seeking to raise funds to build a 2 classroom school house in Nasugbu, Batangas, the Philippine province where my father was born and raised. Presy truly loved to support the Filipino Community. He especially enjoyed being an active leader with Feed the Hungry, Inc. (FtH), a non-profit organization that feeds malnourished children, builds classrooms, assists families and communities with economic development, and provides emergency assistance in times of natural disasters. Given that my father was an architect with a deep affection for his home province, we would like to dedicate a new fund to support FtH’s Infrastructure Programs to specifically support the development of the school house in Nasugbu.

Funding & Costs:

We are seeking to raise at least $15,000 to enable FtH to build the school house. Once the school is built, it will fall under the jurisdiction of the local government and get funding to be maintained.

Purpose:

In this area, there are too many students crowding nearby schools. Creating a new school will help children to get a more ideal educational experience, and give them a better opportunity to advance. Presy valued education and worked hard to create a life beyond the province and to build a meaningful career path as an architect. This eventually brought him to the US, but he never stopped caring for his home country communities and family. This would be such a meaningful project to my dad, so any amount of donation will be much appreciated by our family.
