SSDI funding

A couple of people close to Paige have encouraged her to initiate this account in the hopes of obtaining support in a desperate time of need. If you are not aware, Paige has suffered cognitive impairment which inhibits her ability to work at this time and for the foreseeable future. We do not know the cause of the changes, but it has impacted her short term memory and general cognitive ability greatly. She has lost her job, her home, and her car. She has no health insurance, has exhausted unemployment benefits and has no income. She is in the process of applying for Social Security Disability benefits, but the process is expected to take up to a year or more. In the meantime, we seek the generosity of others, especially her friends and family, to see her through the next year by offering financial assistance. We estimate that she can live off of $1500/month for ALL of her expenses; and as the process is expected to take at least a year, the total would be $18,000. If you are unable to offer that, any donation would be of course greatly appreciated.

Many of us offer donations to organizations of need. Give thought to focusing your 2018 donations to someone who really needs it. The funds are being managed by a third party to ensure that they are properly budgeted and dispersed. Funds are needed in the next two months as Paige's current living arrangements will end May 2018 and alternative arrangements are needed. Paige and her caretakers appreciate any help to cover her expenses for the following year.
