Help Pastor in Pakistan
Hello friends. My name is M. Patrick Gibson. I'm the senior pastor at Rainmaker Ministries in Traverse City, Michigan. As I'm sure many of you are aware, this past Easter Sunday (March 27th, 2016) a park in Lahore, Pakistan was attacked by terrorists.
Over 120 people have died and between 250 and 400 are critically injured. Most are women and children and nearly all of them are Pakistani Christians. This was a terrible persecution of our brothers and sisters in Pakistan.
In the wake of this terrible tragedy, a Pastor friend, a Pakistani national, has been visiting the grieving and the injured in the ICU. Please take the time to see some of the videos of him praying for the injured below:
This Christian brother is now receiving death threats against he and his family for his involvment in ministering to the injured. He no longer feels it is safe for them to stay in their home country and has come to us seeking help to raise funds for travel, passports, and visas that they might collectively seek asylum in Thailand.
Undaunted, this fearless Pastor sees new opportunities to minister the Gospel in Thailand. Any funds collected above our goal will be used by Rainmaker Ministries to continue to aid and equip men and women like this with creative ways tominister the gospel in places like Pakistan and Thailand.
We need the funds as soon as possible. Lives are on the line and every hour lost is impossible to regain.
In America today, we talk so much about terrorism, the refugee debate, not wanting these kinds of horrors to happen in our own back yard; but seldom to we personally have the chance to really make a direct difference in the lives of people effected by these very real threats. Please help us take action. Help us stand with fellow Christians in need of our resources to remain safe and effective in the work of the Kingdom.
We at Rainmaker Ministries and this family will be so thankful you helped make this happen and look forward to telling you all the good that comes from this in the future.
Regards,
M. Patrick Gibson
