Pack 1714 needs a new Shed

I'm Steve Carlin, the Webelos Den 5 Leader and Pack 1714 Shed Committee Chair. What is the Pack Shed Committee you might ask, well...
If you have ever attended a large Pack 1714 event like camping or the Pinewood Derby, you might have noticed the equipment the Pack owns like stoves and tables. What you might not know is where all that equipment is stored while not in use. Pack 1714 has a shed that is located on Mountain View United Methodist Church property.
The shed is an old Rubbermaid utility shed that is too small to hold everything and falling apart. Over the last year we have had windows break out and gaps form between the panels. We have had to throw away several items due to mice or insects getting into the shed.
We need to build a new shed for the Pack. We need a shed that can hold all of our our current and future equipment and one that is properly sealed against the elements and critters. Cooper Carry Architects has drawn up plans for a 12'x14' raised shed.We can use your help to make the plans a reality.
There are three ways you can help us build a new shed for the Pack:
1. Direct Cash Donation: You can donate funds here to help cover the cost of the shed materials. We are trying to avoid using general pack funds for this project. We woulds prefer to spend that money on the boys.
2. Material Donation: If you would prefer to donate materials, we have included a "Wish List" for some of the materials we will need to build the shed. We will also be contacting local builders to see if they have materials that they can donate. If you know someone we can contact, please let us know.
3. Volunteer: Once the materials and money have been raised to fund the shed, we will need volunteers to help build the shed.
Our goal is to have all the funds and materials collected by September 1st, with construction finishedmid-October. If you would like to donate, please do. Feel free to pass along this link to anyone you think would be willing to help. If you have materials left over from a recent project, please email me ([email redacted]) and I will pick them up. If you are interested in helping build the shed, please email me also. The Shed Committee and I look forward to working on this project and leaving a lasting legacy for the boys in years to come.
