3D Printed Face Shields - Supplies needed, please
Dear neighbors and Friends,
Like many of us, our kids are looking for ways in which to support our community in this time of need.
In between home schooling, our kids are 3D printing and assembling face shields and masks to donate to a local hospitals, health care professionals and other local heroes working on the front line.
We would appreciate it if you could make a donation so that we can continue to produce this desperately needed personal protection equipment. As of today April 30th, they have donated 445 face shields and 50 masks (all donations documented).
We are so grateful to have been be able to use a machine borrowed by our kids from their STEM Camp to create these face masks and shields. However, very soon we will need to return the 3D printer that we have on loan.
We would like to continue producing it and for that In order to continue to support our local heroes and our community, we need to purchase a 3D printer, plastic filaments, glue sticks and other supplies. Meanwhile In addition, we would like to purchase a second 3D printer in order to increase our production of these desperately needed face masks and shields.
The urgent demand from the frontline professionals for PPE (personal protective equipment) during the COVID-19 outbreak is an ongoing issue for our front line workers. Thus, we are reaching out to our community to help us support our front line workers with the face shields and masks that they desperately need.
These PPE face masks and face shields have been donated to our local health department CHESPROCOTT, to hospitals around our state and to health care professionals around both locally in Cheshire and in the central Connecticut area, as we have received requests from people and facilities in our area.
We hope that you will find it in your heart to help us purchase the equipment and materials needed to continue to make face shields and face masks for our local heroes.
