Newson Family Fire Loss Fund

In July of 2012, the Gina Newson and her family lost everything when their Brooklyn apartment building on New York Ave. burned down after lightning struck a satelite cable dish on the roof. They then moved to an apartment building in Sheepshead Bay that was flooded by Hurricane Sandy in October of 2012. Luckily, the flood did not reach their apartment and their new belongings were spared. Unfortuately, the children began to have health problems as a result of the moldy conditions caused by the flood, and in June of 2013, the Newsons relocated to Edgewater, NJ for a fresh start.

On January 21, 2015 the Newsons found themselves in an all too familiar situation. Their apartment buiding was completely destroyed by a fire. The cause of the fire is still unknown. This fund has been created to help Gina and her two sons (ages 3 and 7) begin again. Anything you can offer is greatly appreciated.
