We are a team of passionate individuals creatives, broadcasters, photographers and volunteers part of NowHumanity,
Our mission in life is "To spread inspiration, creativity and diversity to as many people as possible through various mediums and platforms while breaking down stereotypes and misconceptions."
One of the ways we do this is via live broadcasting via Periscope.
One 13 February, Amrit Singh went to Lesvos in Greece for 8 days and through live streaming, we reached over 30,000 people around the world.
Three humantarians are going to Calais and Dunkirk
in France to do the same thing and help those in the so called 'jungle' refugee camps.
What are we raising money for?
Amrit Singh was on the island of Lesvos in Greece to help with the refugee crisis for 8 days in February 2016. It was a life changing expericene, now with Team NowHumanity, we going to go to Calais, France.
We will be live broadcasting, sharing the authentic stories from the ground, interviewing, volunteering and raising funds to distribute to causes that are doing amazing work.
By following our mission, we will be breaking down the stereotypes and misconceptions people have of refugees by live broadcasting interviews and behind the scenes to the world. This is broadcasting for good at its finest.
How will the money be used?
We are am aiming to raise £2000 and the money will be going towards food, shelter and clothes for the refugees, travel, supplies and helping the hard working grassroot organisations on the island.
We will be volunteering independently, this way we will be able to help and donate an amout to each organisation.
How soon will I need the funds?
We are flying out on 12 March 2016 and with your help, we would like to raise as much as we can before then.
