Support The Growing Moseley Family!

Donation protected
The Moseleys are such a welcoming, warm and fun family! Megan and Dave are amazing parents to their two awesome sons Harrison and Finn.  We are proud to know them and proud to be able to share them with our amazing community.  Megan and Dave are both tenacious and hard working, loving and kind.  We'd like to share their journey with you so you can see how they have captured our hearts! We hope that you can help us in offering support for travel expenses, lodging, food medical expenses and daycare to them through this next leg!

RED WHITE AND TWO!

A few months ago, Dave and Megan found out the most amazing and startling news- that they were having TWINS!

Shortly thereafter, they discovered that the family would growing by two with their third son, Wyatt, and their first baby girl, Emma. They eagerly began to process the fact that there would now be 4. baby. Moseleys!

Shortly after Megan and Dave learned that they would be doubling the kiddos in their home, they learned something unimaginable and devastating. Their youngest son, Wyatt, will be born and then immediately enter into open heart surgery if needed.  Because of the intricacies and the immediacy of the surgeries that Wyatt will need once he is born, Megan and Dave will travel to Charleston, SC [three hours from home] to deliver the twins.  Megan will remain in Charleston with the twins in Charleston for at least 4 weeks after they are born. During this time Dave will be traveling to and from Charleston and working in Greenville. Harrison and Finn will be in the loving arms of their gracious family members and daycare and Emma will travel to and from the hospital with Emma to see Wyatt in NICU.

WYATT'S CONDITION

Wyatt needs a new pulmonary valve because his doesn’t open or shut, so the blood just surges back and forth. These surges of blood have caused a lot of pressure on the pulmonary arteries which in turn caused them to be "floppy”. The floppy pulmonary arteries are placing weight and pressure on Wyatt's airways which means he will not be able to breathe on his own once he’s born and will most likely need to be on a ventilator to breath for him.  The doctors hope Wyatt can wait to have surgery because the younger he is the more surgeries he will need in his life as replaced valves are unable to grow with him. But, if the doctors are unable to wean Wyatt off the ventilator, the valve replacement surgery will become emergent to allow Wyatt to sustain his own breathing and heart rate.

At this time it is not certain when or how long Wyatt will be on the ventilator or when the doctors will try to wean him. This puts an indescribable pressure on the family because during this time the Moseley family will be divided across the state and hoping each day for a successful outcome.  We hope that this fundraiser allows everyone to open their hearts to the Moseleys and support them through this challenging time.
