Monica Goes To Ghana

On March 23, 2013, I will travel to Ghana, West Africa with a group of powerful women of color between the ages of 18 and 55 called the Sankofa Sisters. Through this journey we hope to better understand our history of oppression as Black women and explore what can be gained by "going back" in order to move forward. As we connect to our history and the Ghanian culture, we will also engage in community service at a local school.

To date, we've sold raffle tickets, hosted several community fundraisers to raise money. Please support me and the SANKOFA SISTERS in raising funds for last leg of our journey.  No amount is too small and every donation draws us closer to meeting our goal.
