We are in unprecedented times and Milkbomb Ice cream was forced to pivot and change the way we do business due to the Coronavirus. Our stores have been closed since March 16, 2020 after the (SHELTER IN PLACE) order was placed and at this time it is uncertain how long this will continue.
It was a very scary time for us the moment we got news of the lockdown. We thought this would be the end of us. We had bills, rent, employees and vendors to pay. A closure meant there would be no income for us. Milkbomb ice Cream is not a franchise or a large chain. We are a small family business run by a husband and wife team with 5 kids. This is our livelihood. We had the option to stay open for takeout but we knew it would not be sufficient to survive as our streets were empty and nearly deserted. So, on a whim we made the decision to offer free contactless home deliveries with the purchase of pints and quarts via our social media pages and the response from our customers has been nothing short of amazing.
We have been using our own personal vehicle to make deliveries and need your help in purchasing an additional fuel efficient vehicle. This will enable us to make more home deliveries, hire a driver, serve more people, go out to more cities outside of San Francisco and Berkeley and cut customer wait time.
We know what a difficult and uncertain time this has been for everyone, and we understand that there are many individuals and organizations in need. If you’re in a position to support us we’ll be extremely grateful to receive that help.
Any donation to this campaign will go to help bring us back to some normalcy once this is all over, to take care of our staff, rent and purchase a used fuel efficient vehicle for deliveries so we can continue to provide home deliveries to our customers and to create the structures to take Milkbomb Ice Cream into the future, and if you could let others know about this campaign, we’ll appreciate that immensely, too.
