Dear Family & Friends,

As many of you know we have been married 9 years and have been unable to have children. After 6 miscarriages, several surgeries and much heartache we have prayerfully decided to pursue adoption through Bethany Christian Services. Adoption is a wonderful yet costly endeavor. The average cost for a domestic infant adoption like the one we're pursuing is $18,000.00. There are a number of scholarships & grants we plan to apply for to help cover these costs. However, most of these scholarships require that you are fully approved for adoption before you apply. So right now we are seeking help with some of the initial costs in getting approved for adoption. They are as follows:

· Formal Application Fee: $550.00 (We have already paid this fee)
· Pre-Study Documents Processing Fee: $1000.00
· Adoption Preparation & Education Fee: $300.00
· Home Study Fee: $1500.00
· Marketing Fee: $500.00
· Misc. Fees (Medical Checks, Background Checks, etc:): $200.00

In summary we are trying to raise around $3500.00 to cover initial expenses in getting approved for adoption. Once these fees have been paid and the processes associated with them complete we will be on the approved list and awaiting the placement of a child in our home.
