Outdoor Summer Movies in Mart, TX

A few years ago, Mart, TX had a free family summer movie series supported by donations from citizens and supporters of the community. At one time, over 500 people showed up to watch family movies at Chambless Field and enjoy popcorn and drinks. Unfortunately, the screen that was used for the movies was destroyed in a storm by high winds.

Now, we want to bring Summer movies back to Mart for the enjoyment of all. In order to legally show the movies, we must purchase the licenses for each movie. Licensing fees vary by title, with licenses for newer movies being more expensive. The funds raised from this gofundme campaign will be used mainly for licensing fees and any other expenses associated with showing the movies, including equipment.

In the past, $590 was raised with a gofundme campaign for a splash pad in Mart. That was not enough to build a splash pad, so we are reallocating those funds to this new campaign for Summer movies in Mart. If you have any questions, please contact Henry Witt III.
