MacBook to become Mobile Dev

Hi I'm Shannon and for the last year I've been on a journey to become an Mobile Developer. I began studying at Coalition for Queen's Access Code program last August and finished in June. It was a lot of hard work and late nights to learn Java and Android development. Learning these totally new skills meant a lot of nights working alone at HQ till 3 and 4 am in order to tackle projects and new concepts as well as time spent away from my daughter. Even so it's been really exilerating, as well as rewarding and I truly look forward to becoming a professional developer.
As the program is finished and the new cohort is about to begin I need to return the Macbook pro I borrowed on August 1st. I'm currently looking for and finally starting to get a few interviews for Android positions as well as currently building apps-including one for UCLA's Code for the Mission . I don't have my own computer to develop on or the funds to purchase one right now and can't afford to stop growing as a developer or to not be able to complete coding challenges given by potential employers. I also need a computer in order to be able to continue participating in hackathons and volunteering at events like Hip Hop Hacktivist where the team of teens I mentored won in the Android category.
I'm a single mom who is really hoping to set a great example for my child by showing her that not only does hardwork pay off but also that something I never grew up thinking applied to me (a career in STEM) is actually something that she can achieve in her future too. I'm commited to continue volunteering in tech as it's important to me to show other women and minorities that they can enter this field too.
I am hoping to raise money in order to buy a refurbished MacBook pro so that I can both build more projects and continue looking for a role at a tech company. I'd like a MacBook as it runs Android Studio well, is the development environment I know how to work with and would give me the flexibility to learn how to develop for IOS should I need to. It would mean the world to me if you would consider contributing so I can make my dream of being a professional developer a reality.
