Sheehan Adopt-A-Family 2014

According to the USDA, 1 in 4 children (50 million Americans) struggle with hunger on a daily basis. Food shortages are higher among women raising children alone.Melissa's Mutt Hutt ("MMH"), a Manhattan Beach and Santa Monica based dog walking and pet sitting service (www.gotmutt.com) will work again this year with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) Adopt-A-Family Program to provide at least 25 local low-income families with toys, clothes and food this holiday season. MMH is proud to be partnering again with the Vikings Charity (http://www.vikingcharities.com) one of the Southland’s leading charities for disadvantaged children. In order to make this happen we need  donations.

On December 8, 2014 we will be having a free holiday catered party for hundreds of disadvantaged youth from 11am to 3:00pm at the Alpine Village at 833 W. Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90502. The party will include a choir, 10 unwrapped toys for each child, a DJ and Santa Claus. In addition we will be providing the families with a weeks supply of food (BASKET), warm clothes, toys and more with your generous donations on December 24th and 25th.
