Look For The Good In People

Dean Kolb III, a graduating senior a Kettle Run Highschool has always been a hardworking, dedicated and reliable person to not only his family but within his community as well. Dean has worked hard for what he wants, never asking for a handout, from mowing neighbors’ lawns, snow shoveling and life guarding to name a few. He saved up enough money to buy his very first car, an older Cadillac that he loved. He fixed it up, learned how to change his own brakes, change the oil, replace the tires. He was very proud of his purchase. Unfortunately, on March 28, 2020 at approximately 1:00am, his car was totaled while parked on his street (Dean was luckily not in the car at the time.) The person fled the scene and his insurance was unable to cover all expenses. With the quarantine we are in, not being able to see friends, or not being able to have a proper graduation, this hit was devastating. He is currently able to work at a local pizza restaurant and is saving money once again. Dean deserves to know that the world isn’t all bad; that there are people who care about him and that even strangers are willing to help others in need. Dean will be attending Coastal Carolina University, his dream school, again showing how hard he works to get where he wants to be in life. His parents, Dean Kolb Jr. and Karla Kolb, with his sister Drew, have been such a great influence and supporter of him.

We would love to be able to raise a little bit of money for him to go towards a new car before going off to college. And not only that, we really want to show him that there is still hope for humanity.
