My name is Andrew; I am 20 and my family is in crisis. Please help me to save my siblings and our housing. This is a long read due to all of the trials in our lives this past year:

The last year has been a long, challenging year for my brother and his family:
Eleven months ago my sister in law, Nikki, had complications from a routine surgery - her colon was perforated. Nikki went into emergency surgery and was put into a drug induced coma; her body went into sepsis. The next day her family was called to the hospital to say goodbye to their wife and mother.
But Nikki is a fighter and continued to make small improvements. A couple of days later the family was told again to say goodbye to Nikki. After 11 days of being in a coma, Nikki slowly started to wake up, but she was completely paralyzed and on life support. A week after waking up, she had a tracheotomy so the ventilator could be moved from her moth so she could try to talk.
After six weeks in the local hospital, Nikki was moved 4 hours away to a Level one skilled nursing center due to being too “medically complicated” and on life support. She went septic several more times. Each time Nikki was sent to the hospital she had to go by non-ambulance. Nikki‘s insurance would only pay for a third of the ambulance cost. One day, Nikki was sent to the ER from the nursing home twice. The cost for David and Nikki that day was about $6,000 in ambulance rides. When you are trying to save the life of a loved one you don’t think about the cost. They owe $20,315.74 just in ambulance costs - which is their portion after insurance has paid - and they have to pay about an additional $10,000 for deductibles and out of network costs. We are grateful that David and Nikki have good medical insurance, if not they would owe over $3 million dollars in medical expenses.
David has had to become both Mom and Dad. He had six of his kids in the home and he became their primary care caregiver. He had to manage the household, take kids to doctor appointments and work full time. David and Nikki have three kids who are now eligible for adoption but the state is not allowing this to happen because of their current situation. David has not had a day off to relax since August 21st, 2017.
In March, Nikki was able to come home. Because of her hard work in physical rehab, she is able to walk with a walker. They had to move their bed downstairs to the main floor of the house because Nikki cannot go up the stairs to their bedroom. It is a blessing to have Nikki home but it adds to the stress the family is under.
So if this was not enough, they have another big trial they are facing: they are facing eviction.
David and Nikki have been renting their house for the last five years and three years ago they entered a rent to own lease with the owners of the house. The landlord is a realtor and David thought their rental to own lease was on the up and up. But when they started to work on getting the mortgage recently, they found out there was several problems with the lease. David has communicated to them about Nikki’s health problems from the beginning and has asked them to work with them. The owners have now cut off communication because they want to take the large deposit and to keep the increased equity in the house over the last three years for themselves. The owners have now filed to evict them even though they know how bad Nikki’s situation is. David and Nikki have had to hire an attorney (which they can’t afford) to try and stay in their home. The kids need to be able to stay in their schools and with their church friends. The family needs to stay with their neighborhood support group because the intensive help is getting them through this ongoing trial.
There are days that I worry about my brother. I am amazed at what he is going through but I can see how all the stress is affecting his spirit and health. I am taking care of my husband who is home bound and several states away, so I have not been able to help as much as I have wanted to. One way that I can help, is to set up a Go Fund Me account to help reduce their financial stress.
