We grilled out Sunday night and finished cooking around 8pm. After reviewing the security cameras we were to able see an amber fall from the grill on to the bag of charcoal on the rack below it. It took over an hour for it to catch the bag on fire which then melted the wheel causing the grill to tilt towards the house. The coals rolled against a trash can full of dry leaves which caught on fire then catching the house on fire. It wasn't until12:20am that our dog Marley Jean started barking which I got up to investigate. The power was off and I could smell plastic burning. I went to the pool door and opened it to see my overhang on fire. I yelled to the wife to call 911 and grabbed the dogs and took them to the car. I came back and she had 911 on the phone and cornered the cats. We grabbed them and put them in the truck. The Fire Department was on site less than 2 minutes later.
