Let's give a Lift to the Ords

THE ORDS NEED A LIFT!!!   - May 19, 2022 Update: 

Hello family and friends.

Suzanne here. I am adding this update because, as you can see, WE PASSED OUR GOAL! So we decided to increase the goal for our dear friends. It was met with such warmth and speed, that I have to say, on behalf of Mur and Moe & myself, it was such a wonderful surprise. (I - personally believed it would be met, but man - I am over joyed at how quick you did it.  We felt that since the goal was met already, that the increase would be so that the Ords won't have to struggle to pay for any unforeseen expenses or any added materials that would make their house more user friendly and safer for Murray to live at home. 

I will continue to give you updates as I get them. Your generosity towards our friends Murray, Moe, Robyn and Sarah is so appreciated, and it will be used to help make their lives less stressful. Everyone who cares about them, thank you for caring about them too.

Hello friends. We all know that the Ord family have been such great “givers” and supporters to so many, so often. Well, now Murray, Moe, and the girls need some help from us.

The Mighty Mur has always plowed his way through anything that life put in his path, and he always looks “on the bright side of life”…but this time “The Mur” needs a hand from his pals.

 

We all know that Murray and Moe are great at giving but lousy at receiving. We all know how they always help others in need, and that they never ask for a hand for themselves…well, now they need a hand.

Murray had a nasty fall the other day. The docs told him that if he broke his knee again, there would be nothing they could do. NO MORE SURGERIES for him. The good news is; (if you can call this good news), he had a clean break of his tibia… but the real good news is that for this injury - no surgery is required.

The three of them very slowly got Murray upstairs but with extreme care. Upstairs is the best place for him to recover from his fall, and Moe, Robyn and Sarah can’t be carrying him up the stairs all the time.

 

So let’s help them out by raising enough cash to purchase a chair lift, so they don’t have to look for a place to move into that doesn’t have stairs. They have so many friends, and it should be a quick and painless effort for all of us to put enough cash into a pot that would give the Ords some peace of mind.

As you can appreciate, they’re not comfortable having people know they need a hand; but too bad…they’d help any of us, right?! So, to save them from being uncomfortable for too long, ..... let’s get this done quick…ok?

So the lift is the goal. The cost to install and buy a chair lift for their place will be approximately 5000.00 dollars. We know that the more of us that chip in, the easier this will be for them. The lifts that we looked into are, the Bruno Elan 3050 and a Handicare 1100. They range in price from $3150- $3550, all in. And with a bit extra, it’ll cover costs for any unforeseen assisted materials that will surely come up.

 

So……LET'S GIVE
