Help Sayulita’s kid folk ballet reach Colombia!

Donation protected

Greetings to our wonderful community,

I'm Ulises Gonzalez, proud coordinator of the Sayulita Folkloric Ballet, Tzallantli, which showcases the immense talent of our local children. This vibrant troupe consists of 9 extraordinary young dancers, selected from a group of 70 hopefuls. Together, we bring to life the rich cultural dances from various Mexican regions such as San Luis Potosi, Campeche, Jalisco, and Chiapas.

In November 2023, we were thrilled to receive an invitation to the 8th International Festival of Representations and Cultural Traditions in Cartagena, Colombia, scheduled for July 2-9. This event is a prestigious opportunity for us to not only represent Mexico but also share the unique beauty and spirit of our community on an international stage. It’s a chance for our children to inspire and connect with their heritage, culture, and history in a profound way.

Preparing for this extraordinary event, we have dedicated the past five months to organizing fundraising events and performances in our community to cover the considerable expenses, especially for the vibrant and detailed costumes. Time is swiftly passing, and we find ourselves in need of additional support to ensure we can make this journey in July.

We are reaching out to our community for assistance. Any support you can offer will be immensely appreciated, whether it's a financial donation or by spreading the word about our cause. By helping us, you're providing our young dancers and their tutors with a once-in-a-lifetime experience to shine on the international stage and proudly showcase their heritage.

Your generous donations will be used towards flights, accommodations, and meals for our children and their tutors during the festival.
