Who are we?
The Scientista Foundation is a national organization dedicated to strengthening the community of college and graduate women in science, technology, engineering, and medicine (STEM). We are members of the Loyola University Maryland Scientista Chapter, one of many Scientista chapters at universities throughout the nation.

Why are we supporting Health Care for the Homeless INC.?
All the Scientista chapters will be participating in a Charity Challenge throughout the year, in order to support charities in our community. Each chapter will try to raise money and/or volunteer their time to a charity of their choosing. They will then nominate other Scientista chapters to match their donations and time volunteered.
Our chapter decided to support Health Care for the Homeless (HCH), located in our community of Baltimore, MD.
"Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) works to prevent and end homelessness for vulnerable individuals and families by providing quality, integrated health care and promoting access to affordable housing and sustainable incomes through direct service, advocacy, and community engagement ... With strong public and private support, HCH is guided by a vision of a future without homelessness in which all Marylanders have access to comprehensive health care, affordable housing, and livable incomes."
