Leeds Hospital Guides & Scouts
Donation protected
The very first Guide & Scout unit at Leeds Children’s Hospital will open in January 2016.
The new unit will meet weekly, all year round, at the Clarendon Wing of Leeds General Infirmary and will be open to any patients aged 5 – 16 years old from any of the Leeds wards, and their siblings.
Laura Stubbs will Captain the unit, with a team of regular volunteers being recruited from Guides and Scouts to help make sure as many young people can join in as possible.
Laura, who has been a leader in Girlguiding for ten years, says “I can’t wait to get the unit off the ground, and all the help from LGI, Scouts and Girlguiding Leeds has been fantastic. We’re just finalising the details before we start meeting up each week, and we want to start a small fundraising campaign to ensure we can buy all the resources we need. Any help you can give us is appreciated.”
