#PurpleOut2020

If 2020 has taught us anything, it is that we have to be aware. Aware of our health and well-being, aware of the impact our words and actions have on others, aware of the injustices our neighbors may face. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought tremendous hardships to our communities and unfortunately, incidents of domestic violence have risen throughout the nation as a result. 

Change cannot come without awareness.

We are grateful that many of you have participated in our previous Purple Out Campaigns and hope that this year you will join us again, as we focus on AWARENESS.

Our 2020 campaign will look a little different but we hope you will continue to join us so we can Break the Silence and Stop the Violence.

How You Can Get Involved:

-Wear purple every Friday in October and take to social media to share why you are fighting back against domestic violence. Here are our hashtags: #LBAgainstDV, #LBPurpleOut, #OnFridaysWeWearPurple. Help us spread facts about DV and resources for those that need them!

-Donate to our GoFundMe page, all funds raised will go to InterAct of Wake in Raleigh, NC.

-Attend one of our FREE webinars. We will be hosting webinars throughout the month to bring awareness as to how the multi-family industry has a role in ending DV, providing them with legal and social knowledge on how to do so. Stay tuned for more information from your local apartment association and our social media pages!
