Fund LA Garden Council for Another Year!

The Los Angeles Community Garden Council (LACGC) is launching its 2022 fundraising effort in conjunction with the 2022 Gathering of Community Gardens.

The last two years have taken their toll on our organization. We lost our longtime Executive Director, which meant we were less able to fundraise at a time when funding opportunities decreased. But we are ready to meet this moment. We recently opened two additional gardens in partnership with the cities of Burbank and Montebello, and named Diana Campos (our program manager) as Interim Executive Director.

We are currently re-designing our strategic vision to expand our capacity as an organization so we can build more gardens and serve more Angelenos. With your game-changing support, we can nourish the seeds we have planted to grow into the organization we plan to be in the future.

Please consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign and attending our 2022 Gathering of Community Gardens on Saturday, 15 October 2022 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. The event will occur at Solano Canyon Community Garden, 545 Solano Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

This year’s event theme is “Regeneration,” which applies to the soil, the garden, and the community. We will conduct tours of the community garden and farm during the event. We will also share composting tips, best watering practices, and more. Additionally, we will host a space for children to make seed bombs, enjoy story time in the garden and more.
