A few years ago, I had the utmost greatest privilege or being part of an experience that has changed my life forever. I participated in Ride Cambodia 2011!

We raised much needed funds for orphaned children in Cambodia. With our past efforts we were able to see firsthand where all the money raised was being used for. With our donations, they were able to build a hospital in Sunrise Villages III, a facility that would care for children living with HIV/AIDS.

I am extremely excited and thrilled that I have again been chosen to help coordinate and also participate in this amazing initiative and I get to Ride Cambodia in June 2014! The thought of those smiling little faces still warms my heart every time I think of my past experience and cannot wait to go back and see how the children have grown and continue to enjoy their new lives.

The Cambodian children who are cared for by one of the three
Sunrise Children Villages in Cambodia come to them in a myriad of ways; Parents or other family members have been killed or maimed by land-mines , died of hunger, or disease, or they just cannot care for another child.

An estimated 80,000 orphans and vulnerable children are living in Cambodia due to an AIDS epidemic.
Over one third of the Cambodia population live below the poverty line, many families can't afford the basic necessities they need to care for their children.

When these children are rendered homeless, the other Villages sometimes make every effort to care for them, but more often than not, they are just left on the side of the road or taken into homes and used as slave-labor in return for food and a place to sleep until their plight is brought to the attention of Sunrise.

These much needed funds will go 100% towards the Sunrise Village to help keep these children living happy long and healthy lives and allow more children to be cared for.

Please help me raise money towards my goal of $5000.00 and allow us to make a difference for these children one mile at a time!
