This Summer I took a Leap on Faith
This summer I tool a leap on faith. I quit my salary teaching job (I love and miss those kids everyday!) and decided to pursue happiness in the form of a career change in community outreach and non-profit work.
Since making that career change I've been blessed to work within the underprivilaged communties in Atlanta. Creating UnityFests for the kids at Dunbar Rec center and creating programs and classes that will benefit the youth of Atlanta. As well as even attending a UN Women's roundtable on gender equality.
Recently I was offered the opportunity of a life time, to go to Israel on a staff delegation on September 3rd. I accepted the trip but now I need help to make this dream into a reality.
Community outreach and non-profit work may be a 24/7 job but, for now, I'm techinically a part time/hourly employee. Which means while I'm on this trip I won't make the money necessary to keep myself afloat when I return.
So this is where you all come into play! Asking for money has always been difficult and rarely do I ever do it but now I'm recognizing that sometimes help from family, friends and even strangers is needed in order to achieve and reach your goals.
I'd like to raise $1650 which will go towards supporting me while on this trip of a life time, as well as keeping me stay afloat finacnially until I get back.
Any and every donation even well wishes and kind thoughts are appreciated and will be accepted with love! :)
With that being said I am opening myself to the universe and accepting all good and love that comes my way.
