After studying a year in South East Asia, I discovered my passion for volunteering. I was exposed to extreme poverty, hunger and injustice, realizing how different my life was compared to a large part of the world. I worked in several schools and orphanages along with different global organizations which gave me a whole new outlook on my surroundings. I dove into each experience with the hope of making a difference on everything I touched, whether it be people, animals or the environment. Although my contribution is only a small step towards helping some of the world's biggest issues, it is a step in the right direction.

By making a donation, you are helping children in Kenya get the education they deserve. Some of the children walk over 5 hours everyday just to get a chance to go to school. I will be spending a month in June with a local family, teaching children in a Maasai community school while learning the Kenyan way of life. Living conditions will include no running water or electricity, along with local food, traditions and customs. Although I have been working to save money for this trip, the extra help would make all of the difference.

If you have any questions regarding the program,my trip or the organization please do not hesitate to ask!
