Kathleen Rose Flynn

Kathleen Rose Flynn was diagnosed with colon cancer on April 24, 2013  and she stood strong and positive against it. Kathy continued to go to work, to be there for her family and  to live her life to the fullest.  We thought she could close the cancer chapter in her life after twelve rounds of chemo but unfortunately the cancer was  re-diagnosed on April 17, 2014.

Again, she went back to fight and unfortunately, the cancer was strong and aggressive. Our sweet mom, daughter, sister, aunt, nana and friend stayed positive through all the pain and discomfort. She was admitted to the hospital on February 15, 2015 and a week later told that there was nothing left they could do for her.

Heartbroken,  we searched for a place that could care for Kathy in her final days.  Collier Hospice in Wheatridge, CO was that place and after weeks of battling in the hospital, it was a welcoming and peaceful place for all of us.

The doctors and nurses gave us such gentle and honest care in a terrible time in our lives and we felt the peace that they strive to provide.

Kathleen Rose Flynn passed on March 3, 2015 at Collier Hospice and we would like to make a donation to them in her name. We hope that our donation will allow other families, who are going through similar situations, can feel somewhat at ease as they care for their loved one as we cared for Kathy.

Thank you all in advance for your love support and donation.
