In honor of our beloved Amber Rose Isaac .

Amber was a Loving, Caring, Vibrant, Beautiful, Intelligent, healthy woman. She was a leader amongst her peers, an early life childhood educator, an innovator & pioneer for the greater good of the future. Amber came from humble upbringing but that never stopped her from having high aspirations. Growing up Amber used art/dance/poetry for self expression. May 2018 Amber completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology & wanted to introduce art therapy to the children of the Bronx & Harlem as a way for them to express themselves
& reflect. She believed that we change humanity by properly loving & educating our children, provide them with the tools so they can expand their horizons beyond poverty.

Our mission at saveArose is to raise awareness of the disparities in the maternal mortality rate amongst women of color. This foundation is to honor our beloved Amber Rose Isaac who was full of life and expected her first child with so much hope for the future. But all those dreams never came to fruition. Amber became another statistic of a black women dying during childbirth. In spite of living in one of the richest states in the United States of America and with all the technological advances, women of color today are dying at the same rate of women living in the 1800s. In New York City, women of color are dying at an alarming rate of 12 times higher than their white counterparts.

Our goal is to dismantle the systemic flaws within the healthcare system and redirect the course of birthing equity.  We want rest assured that care is given to EVERYONE, no matter their creed or color so they can return home safely to their families.

saveArose has also been a partnering effort towards bringing the first ever free standing midwifery led Birthing Center to the Bronx in honor of Amber. The Bronx is home to the highest C-section rate in NYC and these women are scared for their lives. We must protect our mothers & make sure they are heard and receiving proper care so they can return home with their child and enjoy being a family.

We want to offer support families in our communities by offering care packages to mothers & families in need.

We would also like to contribute towards the Amber Rose Isaac access to home birth scholarship program created by Nubia Earth Martin. This program offsets the costs of insurance premiums and covers what insurance does not for a home birth. we have been able to assist over 20 families with this program.

after facing such a devastating loss, instead of offering Bruce Mcintyre real help, he was being offered anti depressant drugs such as Xanax and stronger supplements before even being properly evaluated. Bruce refused to be doped up while raising a child & followed a more holistic approach, understanding that he was going to be placed in a perpatual cycle that has burdened our communities for generations.

We ask for your support in growing Amber's Legacy at the saveArose Foundation to help eradicate the maternal mortality crisis among women of color. We have the power to unite our voices to make sure that Amber’s voice can never be silenced.
