What is The Judah House Project? We are a faith-based non-profit
organization with a purpose to impact the lives of at-risk youth (8-18)
through Music and the Arts. Our target area is Harrisburg, PA.
A Problem Worth Solving...
Demographics and statistics are showing that 2 out of 7 inner city youth graduate form high school. Drug use and sales, crime, territorial violence among youth, arson, insufficient affordable rental housing for low income families, and fatherless-ness are some of the problems in the inner-city areas of both Harrisburg and Steelton.
Our Solution/Our Mission...
To inspire, empower, and enrich urban at-risk youth through music and the arts. To provide a facility to teach and promote music creativity through music lessons, providing instruments, supplies and performance opportunities at no cost to the student.
Our Vision
To change the landscape of our urban youth by raising up the next generation of musicians, worship leaders, and community leaders.
Why Music?
Numerous studies have shown that Music carries a multitude of positive effects on an individuals life. Not only is it therapeutic and satisfying but music activates areas of our brain that have yet to be explored. Music builds self-esteem, promotes creativity, increases our intellectual thought, increases IQ, improves test scores and most importantly was created by God and for God. We believe that hope, purpose and new beginnings can be found by discovering their God-given gifts and talents. At Judah House, we will be that house of praise with everything that we do!
