Help John J. Schaubhut reclaim his Land

On the corner of Down the Bayou Road and Schaubhut Lane in Des Allemands, LA sits John J. Schaubhut's home. Born and raised on this land now at 88 years old , his yard that runs along Down the Bayou Road is being ripped out of his hands.

It is greed from family heirs that are causing John and family to lose the front yard and bayou access. This is leaving him with no access to the front of his home and taking the rights away from ALL other Schaubhuts from utilizing the bayou front.

John's family has been taking care of him and his property for the majority of his life due to his intellectual disability. Due to his disability he does not have the means or ability to defend himself for what is rightfully his.

By contributing to help John fight for his land, you will also be helping his family members like Merlin Schaubhut Jr. (Boat Shed Permit #86) keep his boat shed that he has used for the last 42 years for his means of income.
