We want to help Jeremih in an extended stay motel. Read the story below.
n Friday (12/29) my mom, Laura , went into work in the morning and saw a young kid with a blanket wrapped around him. She got out of work early that day around noon and saw the same kid outside still with the blanket around him.
She called him over and found out his name is Jeremiah. He is 20 years old and homeless. She took him to the thrift store near by and got him some warm clothes and blankets.
Today she went back to look for him and got to know him a little better over lunch..
His home life was very unstable with his mother having boyfriends living in the house and constant fighting.
In September his mother passed away from alcoholism. And although his father wasn’t really around- A week later his father also passed away from drug abuse. The house Jeremiah lived in with his mother foreclosed and he was forced to move out. He’s been living on the streets for a few months now.
He did have a job at Cici’s pizza but it closed down.
Jeremiah is looking for a job so he can provide for himself and hopefully find a place to live. He has worked for a construction company in the past as well.
If anyone can help with getting him into a shelter and/or possibly offer him a job please contact me. He has a cell phone so we can contact him with any help that may be offered. He’s currently in the Melbourne area.
Even if you yourself can’t help please share and maybe someone on your friends list can.
