"Hi! My name is Jelani and I am a freshman at Millennium Brooklyn High School. I love reading, playing sports, exploring the outdoors, and expressing my artistic abilities by drawing and painting. I was nominated and accepted into the People to People program which, will allow me to expand my quest for knowledge by having a firsthand experience into learning about the different cultures and visiting the historical landmarks. Because I love art, I am especially excited to see the European Art and its dynamics in-person. I will get to do all of this and obtain college credit at the same time. People to People's mission is to bridge cultural and political borders through education and exchange, creating global citizens and making the world a better place for future generations!
In an effort to make this possible, I'm enlisting the help of family & friends (friends~of~friends too!) to aid in making this dream possible. Jelani has the opportunity to spend 3-weeks in Europe, venturing from New York to Paris, France in July.
For 19 days, Jelani will have the chance to explore Italy, France, Austria and Switzerland.
