Who I Am
My name is Jeff Leanna and I will be one of the delegates representing  Nebraska Democrats at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. 

I am a pledged Bernie Sanders Delegate. At the NDP State Convention, I was voted as an At-Large Delegate by the entire Convention from both Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton supporters. I take my responsibility seriously to ensure I represent not only Bernie Sanders supports but all Democrats across Nebraska.

I am the ONLY Delegate from the Western Nebraska.

I have been actively involved in the Democratic Party for more than 16 years. In that time, I have had the honor of representing my fellow Democrats in a number of leadership positions from serving both Douglas County and Scotts Bluff County on the NDP State Central Committee, numerous positions with the Nebraska Young Democrats, past Vice Chair of the NDP LGBT Caucus, and as a past National Vice President of the Young Democrats of America.

More recently, I am the immediate past Chair of the Scotts Bluff County Democrats and founded the Kerrey-Nelosn Legacy Dinner to help fund candidates and county party activities in the Nebraska Panhandle.

So Why Am I Fundraising

The Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia will be the most expensive DNC ever for Delegates. Much of this cost is due to hotel room prices costing delegates nearly $600 per night when taxes are thrown in.

Many of the Delegates, including myself, have decided to have roommates to help reduce lodging costs for everyone. I have adjusted my personal goal to $1,717.00 after making a decision to room with two of my fellow delegates to share our lodging costs. My total cost of travel and lodging is $1,717.85. 

Why Support Me

I represent both the Bernie Sanders campaign and all Nebraska Democrats as an At-Large Delegate to the DNC. My promise to you is that I will be fully involved in the convention. I will be attending Platform Committee meetings, voting on platform issues, attending constituency group and caucus meetings and attending training's that are offered. I will bring that knowledge back to Nebraska and will use that knowledge to train and educate my fellow Democrats so that we can grow our Party and elect Democrats up and down the ballot in coming elections.

Any funds remaining after my lodging and airfare costs have been met, I will be donating to other Nebraska Delegates who are in need of financial assistance (that's nearly all of us!). I will prioritize funding of my fellow Delegates based on financial need, and will specifically look to assist delegates who identify as Youth and LGBT. I will share the expenditure details with all of my donors so you know exactly how your donation dollars were spent.
