IGS PTA Appeal 2022

With face-to-face fundraisers still a challenge for the PTA due to Covid restrictions, we have set up this fundraiser as a way for our supporters to donate directly to the PTA without the need for a fundraising event. We are aiming to support the following this year:
Mental health and wellbeing: Over the past 18 months, we have been able to support the school in enhancing the student mental health/wellbeing support that is already in place, via specialist training for a member of staff who has subsequently been able to provide mental health 'first aid' training to 26 staff and students. We want to get more people trained so that more students who are suffering from mental health issues can be supported through school.
PTA bursary: We also remain committed to offering the PTA Bursary which provides funding annually to support the increasing number of students that would otherwise not be able to attend the many enrichment events and trips that are available at IGS.
Creative Arts: Finally, we would like to provide financial support to enhance the Creative Arts life at IGS by updating the sound and lighting equipment in B Hall. This will mean that the students' immense hard work would not be let down by old and outdated technology, and school shows/performances can be as outstanding as the students. It will also lead to increased opportunities for students studying Drama and Theatre studies.
