It’s surreal to think that this year marks our 10th year in existence!
It is also equally amazing to see that our little “experiment” has turned into a true grassroots force for good, in so many places, for so many people, and all the credit is due you our members. YOU made this possible.
I am so proud of that this group has helped our members in a wide variety of ways from job assistance, establishing business relationships, tips and inside info on vacation and travel, arts & entertainment events, immigration assistance, and last but certainly not least….the opportunity to meet and correspond with new friends from all corners of the globe who share your love of the Irish heritage.
Additionally we’ve proudly been able to help raise awareness or lend direct support for numerous causes and charities such as:
- The St. Baldrick’s Children’s Cancer Foundation
- The Gavin Glynn Foundation of Co.Wicklow
- The American Red Cross
- The Annual Multiple Sclerosis Bay to Bay Ride
- The Belfast Metropolitan College Boxing Academy
- The Irish Viet Nam Veteran’s Memorial Project
- Project Children Interns
- ....and many more
The IABN has been able to accomplish these things without ever charging membership dues or fees. The IABN has never charged to attend events, nor charged to assist our members.
However we can ONLY exist through the support of our members, and our annual fundraiser is our lone source of financial support.
So we call upon the great volunteering spirit and trademark generosity of the Irish to keep our movement alive and well.
Please donate to the IABN, any amount is welcomed. If you’re not able to provide financial support, you can always help by spreading the word about our fundraiser event too.
