Hurricane Survivor Mother and Child

Thank you to all taking the time to read this page. As you are all aware Puerto Rico is going through one of the worst crisis in history. Hurricane Maria has destroyed the island and along with that the hopes and dreams of many . It has taken us more than a week to hear from our loved ones. I am fortunate to have news on them but there are many that are still waiting on a call. 

It will take months for some businesses to even resume operations. It will take months for power to be restored in all of the island. It will take years for Puerto Rico to recover.

With that being said the elderly and children are amongst these that we must keep hope alive. There are so many on the Island that are needing to get out and being realistic this Go Fund me page will not be able to save all but we can help two come to the states and start life over. My cousin and her baby are in desperate need. The food supply is running low and water supply is limited like the majority in the island. I do not want to put her business out there because she is a private person but at the same time I believe that we need to help her come back home to the states. Her baby needs to be in a better environment then what she is in at the moment.

We are raising money for her to get back on her feet. To be able to buy diapers and necessities for the baby while we look for resources for her. Our goal is to gather enough for a deposit on apartment,  first month's rent and at least two months of paid utilities. She is a hard worker but it's that initial bump that is hard to get over and starting over is very stressful. We all know that when we get an apartment there are costs associated and these are all up front.

To all that are reading this-  I've kept her name anonymous due to the fact that she is not aware of this page but we feel it is our due diligence me being her cousin and Cindy her best friend to get her out with the baby before the situation gets worse. Your contribution is appreciated. No amount is too small.

My name is Nydia Garcia and I am the cousin of the Mother and Child.  I currently live in Little Rock Arkansas. Once we are able to get my cousin and her child to the states I will handle the withdraw of the funds and deposit the collected amount into her checking account if available or I will issue her a check for the amomut that was collected and not Gofund Me.
