Little Hissoms in the Hizzouse!

We have been trying to add some Fitch/Hissom hybrids to the world and grow our family. We love kids, and we really want the opportunity to raise some. We are pursuing all roads to a family - conceiving through IVF, foster parenting, and adoption. We are willing to put in all the work and sacrifice to make this happen, but we are depleted of the finances to keep moving full steam ahead. We also are happy to accept prayers, well-wishes, good vibes, and good ideas (leads on infants and children that need a home, supplemental fertility treatment and methods, and additional fundraising).

We have been working towards this for far too long, and we are so ready to ask for and receive all kinds of help to become parents as soon as possible. This year, we have already done 2 IVF cycles, and we still have a couple embryos to use. Both cycles resulted in brief pregnancies and miscarriages. The next step for us is an additional live cycle (eggs freshly harvested) and a frozen cycle to give all the frozen embryos a chance to implant. After that, we would like to do at least one cycle with donor eggs, which give us an even greater chance of success. Simultaneously we will be working with Orange County to get a home study and training to take in foster children. Our goal is to grow our family by taking in adoptable sibling groups through the foster care program. We also would like to move forward with one or more agencies to privately adopt one or more infants. If we have the funds and support to press forward on all fronts, we'll be parents before we know it! Our future children will be blessed by such an amazing group of grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins galore and the best sort of friends and our fellow congregants from Orlando and Maryland churches.
