Since our GoFundMe drive one year ago, you have collectively donated over a hundred thousand dollars to a cause that holds immense significance for us: the compassionate and resilient people of Cape Verde Island, where I spent my formative years until the age of thirteen. Following Cape Verde's independence in 1975, progress has been slow, and many inhabitants struggle to survive on less than $2 per day. The healthcare system is virtually non-existent, leading to many preventable deaths.

With the unwavering support of my son Anthony and his extensive social media network, I have made the heartfelt decision to dedicate my life to aiding these remarkable individuals who played an instrumental role in shaping the person and father I am today.
