Help Keep Emmalee’s Dream Alive

Hello, my name is Sinai. I usually don’t do this—I’ve never had the guts to ask for help because I’ve always been the one to push through on my own. But right now, as a mother, I don’t want to be the reason a teen gives up on her dream.

Two years ago, my daughter Emmalee discovered her love for volleyball. She started with a local team, then continued through high school. This year, she worked harder than ever and earned a spot on the Premier Team—an accomplishment she was so proud of. But with that joy came a heavy reality: the tuition fee.

When I first saw her smile after making the team, I promised her we’d figure it out. I told her father, “If we budget carefully, we can do this.” But life hit us hard—my business took an unexpected downturn, her father is struggling with moving expenses and car issues, and now the $450 monthly tuition feels impossible. We even asked the league if they had sponsorships, but unfortunately, they don’t.

I can’t bear to look at my daughter and tell her she can’t play because of money. She’s worked too hard, stayed disciplined, and proved to herself she could rise higher. And I don’t want to kill that fire inside her.

This is why I’m humbly asking our community: if you can, please help us cover Emmalee’s tuition. No matter the amount, it keeps her closer to the court, closer to her team, and closer to her dream.
