Follow Sierra on Her Trip to China!

I have been accepted as a People to People Student Ambassador
to China during the summer of 2014. I will be traveling with
a delegation of kids my age, led by experienced teachers. Our journey will take us to historical sites, famous landmarks, and unique cultural experiences. We will journey to the Great Wall"”and beyond"”as we explore this magnificent country steeped in ancient traditions,unique customs, and cutting-edge growth.

We will enjoy an encounter with a panda, learn kung fu from expert trainers and swat ping pong balls with local students. This is China as few people see it: behind the scenes with intriguing people, respected experts, and travel managers who promise to make this an adventure of a lifetime.

I am paying my way and raising money for the program. My parents are contributing one-third of the cost, but I need to raise the rest of the money myself. I've begun babysitting and other jobs, and reaching out to friends, family, and local businesses.

I have raised more than half the money I need so far, now, I am now trying to raise the rest.

I had an idea and my parents said go for it!

So now, for every $25 that is donated to my trip, I will volunteer for 3 hours doing community service at either West Marin Senior Services (www.wmss.org) or The San Geronimo Valley Community Center (www.sgvcc.org) by the end of the year.

kids and would love to work in exchange for your support.

I'd be happy to walk your dogs, watch your kids, or do something around the house.
