My son, Michael McCracken, is an amazing 19 year old young man who is in the end stages of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. His favorite activity in the world is traveling. He spends most of his day looking at maps and dreaming about trips that we can never take him on because of his disabilities.
Michael is unable to breath on his own, walk, stand, feed and care for himself. His needs have become so great that traveling has become impossible. His bedroom has become a hospital room. In order to travel we have to bring his entire room with us so we can care for him properly.
We are trying to purchase an RV that has been specially modified for use with his power wheelchair. It needs to have a hospital bed and room for all of his breathing equipment.
