HELP A PUERTO RICAN FAMILY

Yesterday, on my son's 16th birthday, my family and the rest of the people of Puerto Rico withstood the devastating force of huricane Maria. My beautiful island will take a lot of resources and effort to recover since it was already facing a 74 billion debt and it was bankrupt.
You must have seen images and perhaps feel inclined to donate. If you are considering a donation, please donate here.
I will work in conjunction with the Mayor of San Juan and other organizations I know, to personally oversee that whatever funds I received go directly to the benefit of my fellow country men and women.
Puerto Rico is currently 100% without electricity. They forsee it will take months to reestablish partial service.
My initial intent is to get generators, gas stoves, solar powered flash lights, for the people in need.
Some of you may not know this, but I worked in Haiti after the earthquake of 2010. I worked in conjunction with friends and businesses in Puerto Rico, Washington DC, Virginia and national NGO's. I have experience in relief efforts.
Experience that taught me, that in many occassions the money donated to large and prestigious organizations does not truly make it to the people that need it the most!
I will send you updates and inform you of what will be the final allocation of funds before I deliver the money or the goods purchased.
I will travel to the island as soon as the airport conditions permit me.
With your donation, you can also make a suggestion as to how to allocate it or use it.
I will take it into consideration.
