Hallies Army (Welly Walk fundraiser)

A few days after Christmas, on December 28th 2021, and after rushed visits to the GP and A&E, my sister Hannah and Hallies father Luke we’re given the devastating news that their two-year-old daughter has a highly aggressive brain tumour, known as a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). The tumour has sadly been classified as a Grade 4, and is inoperable.

Any one who knows my beautiful, curly locked, Neice Hallie knows she’s a cheeky, fun, loving, adventure seeking little pickle who loves her wellies.

Hallie is normally seen rocking her colourful wellies jumping in muddy puddles like her favourite character ‘Peppa pig.’ 

 

My little boy Cooper- Hallies cousin, has suggested we all wear wellies until Hallie is better so I have come up with the idea of a Welly walk for familes and children.

We shall be walking on Sunday 20th February, 12:30 at Dunorlan Park Tunbridge Wells, doing a full lap of the lake, plus a full lap of the perimeter of Dunorlan Park- we then move onto Grosvenor Park and take a whole lap of Grosvenor both of these parks Hallie, Hannah, Luke and all family have enjoyed many happy times together.

Hallie is our ‘warrior pig’ and with the support of everyone, I hope we can make this happen to take some pressure off of my amazingly strong sister in such a difficult time.
