Stand with Artsakh, to Strengthen Armenia

Gurgen Melikyan Multi Children Family Foundation was established in 1996. The goals of the Foundation are to assist families with multiple children, to repopulate regions of Artsakh. The Foundation undertook the following projects: Tree Planting, Book Publishing, Cow Program, Student Tuition Program, sponsor a Teacher Program.

During all these years, the Foundation has stood by the people of Artsakh to overcome many hardships, and support many projects in the social, educational and cultural sectors. Schools and kindergartens have been and are being restored and renovated. Hundreds of children from needy families are educated at the Universities of Artsakh and Armenia. Various measures are implemented for that purpose also.

Due to the COVID pandemic and 44-day war, for the third consecutive year “Gurgen Melikyan Multichildren Family Foundation of Kashatagh" will not be able to organize in-person fundraising for displaced families of Artsakh. The recent escalation of tragic events and attacks in the sovereign Republic of Armenia, and Artsakh, have proven this to be the most crucial time to ensure the safety of Armenians in their homeland and their future. And, to create these necessary conditions, with priority to those who lost their homes as a result of these acts of aggression toward civilians and their infrastructures. Thousands of our houseless families and their children must feel and believe that they are not alone. Provision of material assistance and humanitarian aid to Armenian-populated villages in Artsakh - land that these families are indigenous to - are a crucial and priority issue for all of us worldwide. It goes without saying that children are the most vulnerable targets during times of war, displacement and large-scale attacks. They are faced with constant threat, uncertainties, and their day-to-day lives and education have been disrupted. Dear Supporters, the Gurgen Melikyan Multichildren Family Foundation provides assistance only to multichildren families returning to villages of Artsakh, who were displaced from their home villages. The foundation provides cows as a means of continuous income, food and household appliances. Families of 3 or more children receive one cow, and families of 5 or more children receive two-three cows. Multichildren households who have three or more children, receive 50,000 drams. The foundation urgently calls on all parties and individuals to support our Armenian communities in Artsakh, as the humanitarian crisis they are under is connected to us all globally. We are here to support them for a bright and resilient future in Artsakh.

La fundación de Gurguén Melikyán que apoya a las familias numerosas de Kashatagh, fue fundada en el año1996. La tarea primordial de nuestra fundación es apoyar a las familias numerosas reasentándolas en las regiones de Artsaj. La fundación realiza los siguientes proyectos: plantación de los árboles, publicación de libros, otorgación de vacas a las familias numerosas, también ofrece asistencia financiera a los maestros y a los estudiantes. Durante todos estos años la fundación seguía y sigue apoyando a la población de Artsaj en superar distintos obstáculos. Durante toda nuestra trayectoria realizamos diferentes proyectos educativos, culturales y sociales. Por el apoyo de la fundación se reconstruyen escuelas, jardines de infancia. La fundación brinda la oportunidad a cientos jóvenes de las familias menesterosas de realizar sus estudios en los centros docentes de Armenia y Artsaj.

Hagan donaciones y formen parte del renacimiento de Artsaj Durante los últimos dos años la fundación de Gurguén Melikyán que apoya a las familias numerosas de Kashatagh, no pudo organizar recaudación de fondos debido a la pandemia y la guerra. Pero hoy día es imprescindible organizarla, pues nuestro enemigo quiere que los armenios abandonen Arsaj y lo dejen despoblado mientras tanto el hombre armenio puede defender su tierra natal viviendo aquí. Por eso nuestra tarea primordial y urgente es reasentar a los refugiados armenios y ofrecerles apoyo moral y económico a los habitantes de los pueblos armenios. La Fundación exhorta a apoyar a nuestros hermanos que están en la situación gravísima. Miles de las familias numerosas que han perdido sus hogares no deben creer que están solas y deben seguir fundando en Artsaj, en su tierra natal. Queridos compatriotas, según la decisión de la sesión del Patronato de la Fundación fechada el diciembre del año 2021, la fundación suspendió la ayuda a las familias de Artsaj que se habían instalado en Armenia y ahora presta su apoyo a las familias numerosas que toman decisión de regresar a los pueblos de Artsaj. A estas familias les otorgamos vacas, equipamientos domésticos y otros equipamientos. Las familias con tres o cuatro hijos reciben una vaca, las que tienen cinco hijos reciben la segunda vaca, a las familias con más de cinco hijos les otorgamos tres vacas. A las familias con tres y más hijos les ofrecemos asistencia financiera por 50.000 de drames. Apoyemos a estas familias armenias para que no abandonen Artsaj y que Artsaj sigue siendo una tierra Armenia.
